Spouting some hippy shit about not using any paper, saving resources and the environment Patagonia have just released their first online-only catalogue. The paperless pages are brimming with stunning photography, videos and interactive product pages. There is also some pearler shots of surf ambassadors Liz Clark and The Malloys busting fins and getting balls-deep in the barrel. A must-see is the wetsuit video, so make sure your retinas get a dose of that.
Those crafty bastards over at Insight slapped up their new campaign over the weekend. Repeat After Me: I Am Free involved a dirty old double-decker bus painted up by Steve Gorrow and the art department to resemble some sort of 1960s protest-wagon. Inside, a crew of twenty-six skaters, surfers and so and so’s slammed back bevvies, chewed through ciggies and chin-wagged a plenty as they travelled along the East Coast of Australia. Stopping along the way at all the relevant surf and skate sites, Insight caught the whole fandango on film, edited it up and put the sucker online.
Repeat After Me: I Am Free features:
Surf: Kai Otton, Luke Stedman, Warren Smith, Jared Mell, Jason Apparicio, Rangi Ormond and Shane Herring. Watch here.
Skate: Daniel Shimizu, Tyler Mumma, Sam Partaix, Brian Brown, Paul Shier, Nick Boserio, Rhys Grogan, Bernie Foo and Jamie Thomas. Watch here.

Hypebeast have interview up with Koston where they chin wag about his return to Oakley, his new product line and an exhibition in Japan alongside photographers Atiba Jefferson and Keiichi Nitta. If you like the sounds of all of that and then some, click here.

Jamie Thomas knows how to play it. He’s the head honch over at Black Box Distribution, the parent company for brands like Mystery Skateboards, Slave Skateboards, Zero Skateboards, and Fallen Footwear - they also distribute Insight in North America. Well, The Chief has joined the Insight ranks alongside Daniel Shimizu, Rhys Grogan, Brian Brown, Paul Shier, etc. Thomas will feature in Insight’s new campaign Repeat After Me: I Am Free, launching November 13th from Insight51.com

Kai Neville swung past the Surfing Mag offices to allow them a private screening of his new film Modern Collective. Featuring the likes of Mitch Coleborn, Dane Reynolds, Dion Agius, Dusty Payne, Yadin Nicol and Jordy Smith, Surfing Mag have written up a little review - but this line pretty much sums up their thoughts:
Buy or boycott, cry gayness or greatness, but as of right now (October 28, 2009) Modern Collective is simply a better surf film than we’ve ever seen or imagined.
